Operations
Dispatch faster. Know where every load stands.
Carriers lose time when load management, rate con intake, live tracking, and equipment assignment live in separate places. In Derekto, they connect. A load built from a rate con moves to dispatch, to the driver, and through to delivery without re-entering a single field.
Dispatch Board
Knowing what every load is doing right now should not require asking someone. The dispatch board shows every load in a status column, from pending through dispatched to delivered, so the state of your operation is visible at a glance. Each card carries the rate, miles, lane, driver, and pickup date. Column totals show revenue per status without pulling a report. Load management and dispatch live in the same view.
AI Rate Con Parser
A new load starts with a rate confirmation. Turning that PDF into a load record means reading it and entering the broker load number, shipper, consignee, rate, miles, equipment type, commodity, weight, and pickup and delivery dates, one field at a time, for every load that comes in. The AI Rate Con Parser reads the rate con PDF, including scanned copies, pulls those fields automatically, and calculates missing miles using truck routing. Review the extracted information, make any changes if needed, assign a driver, and dispatch. Data entry is no longer part of the job.
Live Load Tracking
Once a driver is on the road, the office needs to stay informed without interrupting them. Live load tracking gives dispatch a route map and a progress bar for each load in transit. The status is visible without a call. Rate, rate per mile, and miles appear on the same screen, so you have full context alongside the location.
Stop Timeline
Detention disputes and delivery records both depend on when a driver arrived and how long they waited. Without an automatic record, those times get reconstructed from memory after the fact. The stop timeline captures arrival and departure at pickup and delivery automatically, without any input from the driver. Times stay editable if a correction is needed. That same record feeds the automated detention calculation, so when a broker questions a charge, the timestamps are already there to back it up.
Equipment Types
Not all freight fits all equipment. A load that belongs on a flatbed should not go to a sprinter, and matching loads to the wrong units creates problems downstream. Equipment types let you define the truck and trailer categories your company operates, including axle configurations and specialty classifications, so loads go to units that can run them. Those classifications carry through to dispatch, load management, and reporting.

Drivers who cannot find their load details call dispatch. Drivers who cannot check their pay call dispatch. That loop costs time on both ends. The Derekto driver app for iOS and Android gives every driver their load details, status updates, document uploads, and earnings in one place. Company drivers and owner-operators each see what applies to their pay structure. When drivers can find their own answers, dispatch stays focused on running freight.
Assigned loads are waiting when the driver opens the app, with stops, addresses, and dates already there. No call needed to find out what they are running.
At the pickup or delivery, stop details, carrier pay, and rate per mile are all on the load screen. Drivers scan the BOL or POD with their camera and it attaches to the load record. Status updates are a single tap. Arrived. Picked up. Delivered. The office sees it without a call.
Earnings, deductions, and net pay are visible in the app. Drivers check what they are owed without contacting the office. Owner-operators and company drivers each see the view that matches their pay structure.

Billing + Finance

Billing brokers, paying drivers, and tracking owner-operator earnings for tax time are three separate workflows that all start from the same load. Derekto handles all three, tied directly to the load record, so the numbers are there when you need them.
Invoicing
Once a load is delivered, the invoice should follow quickly. Derekto generates it from the completed load, with line items, billing period, and due date ready to review. Supporting documents are already attached, uploaded from the driver app at delivery. Review it, set the due date, send it. Payment status and aging track automatically, so you always know what is outstanding.
Settlements
Pay structures differ across drivers, and settlements have to be right every time. Derekto calculates gross load earnings, applies the dispatch fee, adds accessorials and bonuses, and subtracts deductions including fuel advances, insurance, and ELD fees. The full calculation is visible before you approve. Once approved, the driver sees it in their app. The approval flow creates an audit trail, so disputes get answered with facts.
Automated Detention
Detention is money your company is owed, and it often goes uncollected because the window to document it closes fast. By the time someone reconstructs the arrival time and how long the facility held the driver, the load is already closed. Derekto uses the stop timeline to flag when a driver is held past the free time window. The charge calculates from that timestamp automatically. The record, the charge, and the documentation are ready before the load is invoiced.
Two invoice types
Carriers that work with owner-operators run two separate billing flows: a carrier invoice to the broker, and a dispatch fee invoice to the owner-operator. Different documents, different parties, same load. Derekto generates both from the same invoicing module without duplicating any work. The broker gets billed. The owner-operator gets their dispatch fee invoice.
1099 Tax Reporting
Tax season creates a specific problem for carriers that work with owner-operators. Any owner-operator paid more than $600 in a calendar year requires a 1099-NEC, and totaling those payments across every settlement, all year long, is the kind of task that turns into a scramble in January. Derekto accumulates owner-operator payments as settlements are approved throughout the year. At year end, the 1099-NEC data exports to CSV for your accountant. No totaling from scratch, no hunting through individual settlement records.
Fleet + Compliance

An expired medical card or a lapsed CDL can pull a truck off the road and expose your carrier authority. Staying ahead of those deadlines is not complicated. It just has to happen consistently, across every driver. Derekto monitors driver qualification files and flags expirations before they become violations.
IFTA Mileage
Quarterly IFTA filing requires miles driven by jurisdiction, per vehicle, per quarter. Pulling that together from logs or driver memory means reconciling data that was never designed to be easy to find. Derekto uses GPS data from loads to track miles by state and by vehicle automatically. Fuel purchases by state come in through expense entries. At the end of each quarter, the IFTA summary is ready to export for filing.
DQ Compliance Alerts
Driver qualification files are full of expiration dates: CDLs, medical cards, drug testing records, certifications. Across a full roster, keeping track of all of them means relying on someone to remember to check. Derekto monitors every driver's qualification file and sends alerts before anything expires. The warning comes with enough lead time to act.

Accounting
Carrier accounting should not require entering the same invoice twice in two different systems. The accounting integration syncs invoices and expenses to your general ledger. Your books stay current without any data entry in between.

Factoring
Brokers often pay in 30 to 60 days. When cash flow matters, factoring converts completed invoices into same-day or next-day cash. The factoring integration lets you submit invoices directly from Derekto to your factoring company, no file downloads, no re-uploads.
